Yes, in most cases, you can reuse your DNA profile from a private test taken within the last year for a new DNA test with Journey Genetic Testing.
To do this, we will need the following information:
🔹 Original Case Number – This starts with the letter “J.”
🔹 Name and Email Address of the Person Who Ordered the Test – Any additional testing must be ordered by the person who originally requested testing.
🔹 Date – The date of the original test result (found on the DNA report)
When ordering a new test, include the name(s) of those on the original report whose existing profile you want to use. Make certain when you list their name, you also write after it “Existing DNA Profile” and indicate the case number. We are unable to use any profile that has not provided this information on the order form.
As long as the test was conducted within the past year, you can save time and hassle by reusing your profile for a new test!
